This is the new version of my old, retired pattern. The mittens are now wider, longer, and have a thumb gusset. The recommended gauge is approximate for sizes Small to Medium; for sizes L and XL use thicker yarn and needles. The pattern is written for circular needles (magic loop method); adjust if using DPNs.
Materials: 250-300 fingering-weight yarn
- 2.0 - 2.5 mm short circular needles
- stitch holders (optional)
Gauge: 36 X 40 = 10cm in stranded colorwork, knit in the round.
Size: size depends on gauge. Mittens are 68sts. around the hand part.
