With this pattern, you can knit anything rectangular, from scarves to blankets, arranging owls and plain V-stripes in any way.
The fabric is formed by knit-on stripes, from the left to the right. No seaming is required.
Techniques used: mosaic knitting, decreases, and increases.
Materials:
3.0 or 3.5mm needles, and fingering- or sport-weight yarn.
Yarn must all be the same thickness, otherwise the connection between the vertical stripes will be more noticeable.
Use highly contrasting colors for the owls.
Gauge: 22 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in garter. One owl is 8 X 12 cm.
