Argyle
Double-sided triangular shawl with classic argyle pattern on one side and playful dots on the other. Constructed from the bottom up, this shawl can be made any size.
Technique-wise it is mostly slipped stitches (mosaic knitting) with some simple trick fully explained in a photo tutorial. Only one color is used per row.
Materials:
- 3.5 mm circular needles with long wire.
- - fingering-weight yarn. For the shawl approx. 165 cm wide with 70cm drop, you will need approx. 100g/400m of the background color and about 30g/120m of each of the mesh colors.
- 2 stitch markers (optional).
Gauge. One cell of a mesh, stretched evenly is 4.5x4.5cm after blocking; 4x4cm unblocked.
Size. The shawl can be made any size. The prototype is 165cm across top, with 70 cm drop.
