Wholehearted
Pardon my pictures as am still knitting the sample for the pattern! This pattern was initially designed for a wrap, but would be great for a baby blanket. The fabric lays flat, there are no long floats anywhere, and the double edges add finished look. On top of that, the back side is pretty too ;))
Why did I name it wholehearted? Because no heart is broken or split in halves. All hearts in this pattern are whole, healthy and happy!
It is not a TV knitting though. The first couple of repeats will need your full undivided attention. It is mostly mosaic knitting, with only one color per row, but there are decreases, increases and other stuff to pay attention to.
Materials:
-3.5mm circular needles, fingering-weight yarn in two contrasting colors, 2 stitch markers. Of the relative amount of yarn, you will need 2/3 of the BC (background color) and 1/3 of CC (border and hearts).
Gauge: one heart is approx. 10 cm wide by 9 cm tall.
Size: anything from a skinny scarf to a huge blanket!
