Redrum
Inspired by the iconic carpet from Overlook hotel, Redrum brings a touch of cinematic nostalgia to your knitting projects. I designed it as close an approximation to that famous carpet as possible without using any difficult techniques. It is mostly mosaics, with only one color is used per row. You can knit a scarf, wrap or blanket, or use the stitch pattern to embellish sweaters and jackets.
Materials:
- 3.5 mm needles, and 2 stitch markers.
- 250g/1000m of fingering-weight yarn in two contrasting colors: 100g/400m of each red and black, and 50g/200m of orange. That amount of yarn should be enough for a scarf at least 40cm ( 9 repeats) wide by 150cm long.
Gauge: One pattern repeat is approx. 4-5 cm wide by 8 cm tall, with fingering-weight yarn.
Size: can be knit any size.
