With every pattern repeat, the shawl widens by one repeat. That gives you full control over what size you want to make it. The shawl does not need any finishing other than blocking; but you can pick up stitches along the edges and add a couple of simple garter rows.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMaterials:\u003c\/strong\u003e 2 skeins (about 800m) of non-splitty fingering-weight yarn and two sets of 2.5mm circular needles with 60cm cord (or one short circulars, and one long one). As the number of stitches increases, you may want to switch to longer needles, or use two sets of circulars. The needles must have sharp tips.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYou will need\u003c\/strong\u003e 2.5 - 3.0 mm stainless steel circular needles with sharp tips, and any fingering-weight yarn that does not split.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eYou can use virtually any yarn, and any colors. Even two colors can be arranged differently, giving this pattern a very different look.
