Aura
Aura is very similar to Sunflower in technique and construction, but this pattern is designed to produce a completely different visual effect. I love everything multicolored; the more colors, the better. This time I incorporated 7 colors into one shawl!
There are two shawl options: semi-circular (pictured), and 2/3 of a circle.
It is a moderately difficult shawl, suitable for an intermediate knitter. All mosaic colorwork is charted in full color, with explanations, but there are no written instructions row-by-row. Simple lace at the bottom is charted too.
The prototype has been sold.
MATERIALS. For a semi-circular shawl like the one pictured you’ll need 300g/1200m of fingering-weight yarn in 7 different colors, approximately: 25g of pink, 25g purple, 30g of orange, 40g of yellow, 50g of green, 60g of blue, and 70g of lt gray. You can also knit this shawl into 2/3 of a circle; in that case, multiply yarn amount by 1.33. There's no need to repeat my color scheme, use your favorite colors!
You will also need 4.5mm needles with the wire long enough to hold 500+sts.
GAUGE. 22sts X 28rows = 10cm in garter.
SIZE. Blocked, 220cm wingspan, drops 80cm.
