Maple Leaves
This relatively easy pattern uses my own new technique - tiny stacked increases. Only one color is used per row, no stranding is necessary. I use the same stitch pattern in a triangular Maple Leaves Shawl.
You will need Thin Stacks tutorial to knit those patterns; and you can get all of the above for $7 if you checkout all three patterns together with the code maple.
You will need 2.5 - 3.0 mm stainless steel circular needles with sharp tips, and any fingering-weight yarn that does not split.
You can use virtually any yarn, and any colors. Even two colors can be arranged differently, giving this pattern a very different look. Look at the photo of mitts (by Mitt @ Ravelry); while the pattern is for a wrap or scarf, the photo gives you good example of color use.
PLEASE DO LOOK AT THE STITCHES INFO! ALL 2-and 3-tog are knit RIGHT-TO-LEFT, as they appear on the left needle.
The size of your wrap depends on the number of pattern repeats;
1 leaf is 8cm wide x 10cm tall
